Little Purple Twisty Cane Cup

Twisty cane is made by gathering layers of hot glass (often in multiple colors such as this purple over white) around a gathering rod, then stretching the molten mass into a long, thin rod.  Each line represents a pull. The lines of glass are pulled for a second time, stacked side by side on the surface of the glass and are then spiraled, creating the signature twisty cane pattern. Once cooled, the cane can be cut into sections and incorporated into blown or sculpted forms to add linear, graphic detail.

This cup holds 10 oz of liquid and measures at approx. 3.5" tall and 3" wide.
