Silver Mirror Bauble #2

A piece of a whole - this mirrored bubble is a single piece from a large scale installation artwork titled, "Reflections of a Lifetime" made by MiNHi England.

Reflections of a Lifetime is a work composed of hundreds of mirrored, blown caged bubbles, each one catching, distorting, and refracting fragments of memory. Together they form a shifting landscape of reflection, perception, and lived experience.

This individual bubble is available here as a standalone piece. Every bubble is unique in shape, distortion, and mirrored surface, offering its own tiny universe of reflections. Purchase one as a small sculptural object, a keepsake from the larger installation, or a personal fragment of the larger story.

This is made with a classic silver mirror, offering a chrome reflection. The creation of this mirror involves depositing a thin layer of silver on the inside of the blown glass bubble then sealing the silver into the glass.

***NOTE: This particular bubble has a bit of tarnishing occurring in the mirror. I did my best to photograph the tarnishing, but it is difficult to decipher among the reflections in the glass. I do not consider tarnishing a flaw, as it tells the story of the passage of time. However, please know the mirrored surface has these tarnishing marks (brown streaks) that may change over the years before making your purchase.
